Communication Ezekiel Style

In our house touching your nose has become a way of stating that there are stinkies in your pants. Ezekiel uses this gesture to let us know his pants are dirty:) Just one of the many ways Ezekiel now communicates with us.

Starting to Dress Himself

For the first time, Ezekiel put on his own shoes today. He was successful at making them stay on by putting them on the wrong feet. He seems to like them this way because not only does he wear them like this all the time, but he put Daddy's shoes on like his. He sure is growing up quickly.

Alphabet Soup with a side of Ezekiel

Ezekiel received a pack of bath letters from Noni and they have been GREAT! He now takes a bath with all the letters and loves to throw them around and make them stick to the tub. But sometimes these letters have provided a few teaching moments here and there. Ezekiel has no real desire for things of academia- he only cares about hitting balls, throwing balls, catching balls, etc. So I am so excited to have an opportunity to talk about letters, numbers, and colors! He is now getting to where he repeats the letters name and sounds. Thanks Noni- a great fun way to learn:)

Vistors From Afar!!!!

This last week was spent with family from far away places. We had the privilege of spending time with Josh's Grandma, Aunt (from Germany) and her two boys, and Noni (Josh's mom)! We had such a wonderful, busy visit.

The first day Ezekiel was able to spend the entire day with Noni. We visited the park and pool. Ezekiel was happy to have a playmate that would spend hours playing ball with him!!!!Playing with Corbin.

Each night we were able to enjoy a meal all together. We so enjoyed the visit! Ezekiel even went swimming in the evening. He spent the time jumping to Noni, dunking himself, and enjoying the water so much he wouldn't come out until he was shivering:) It was so awesome to have family around and Ezekiel misses his playmates. There is just nothing better than complete attention focused on him- so HE thinks!

Feeding the ducks.

Josh, Ezekiel and Noni feeding the ducks!
Josh and Ezekiel chased the ducks back to the pond after feeding them:)

Rehab Begins

My parents officially left yesterday and Grandparent Rehab has started for Ezekiel. He has had 6 and 1/2 straight weeks of pure spoiling. He has gotten everything his little heart has desired. Just to name a few things: he has been rocked to sleep, allowed to crawl into the big bed, and had WAY TO MUCH sugar!!!! It was such a fabulous time and something that should happen with every grandparent and grandchild. On the other hand, Josh and I are now left to straighten out this little bundle of self-centeredness. We are now placing him in what we call Rehab and it is Detox time. He is currently learning that without Papa and Mema around life isn't just how he wants it:)

Here are some of the highlights from their time together! Thanks for loving us so much Papa and Mema!
