Happy Halloween

Tonight we did the real Halloween thing- Trick or Treating! First we went to Grandma and Grandpa Case's house where Ezekiel got his first treats of the night- two baggies full of Swedish fish and licorice.

He immediately got to a couple of the treats. Little did we know that this would give him the wrong idea. After enjoying dinner with the Hall's, we set out to trick-or-treat at a few houses. Ezekiel went to his first house, said trick-or-treat and received a piece of candy which he immediately want to eat and NOT put in his bag. So after a short melt down and a mommy explanation that we have to collect the candy first, he was off and running. It was a great evening and a fabulous first time of trick-or-treating. Of course, everyone thought he was adorable and he loved being with Lexie and Chloe. What a great first time of trick-or-treating!

Let the Party Begin!

We had a great time at the first Halloween festivity of the week. Ezekiel wore his skunk costume at the Halloween party for our moms group. There were all sorts of activities for the kiddos- some Ezekiel did and some he didn't. His favorite seemed to be tossing a ping pong ball into a cup to win a goldfish. He was so excited about his fish and spent this morning looking at his fish and feeding them. It was such a great time with friends and we can't wait for our next Halloween activity!

Here he is with his fish!

Family Traditions

Tonight a family tradition is living on. As a child, my family use to have popcorn, pepsi, and apples for dinner on Sunday nights as we watched the Disney movie on T.V. Tonight was the start of this Sunday night tradition for our family. We gathered on the blanket, popcorn popped, apples cut, soda (juice) poured, and watched Disney's Toy Story. It was a great time. We ended the evening with a little family wrestling and a bunch of smiles. The memories of these nights are so special to me that I hope this tradition will mean as much to Ezekiel.

Skunk in the Pumpkins

We made our annual visit to the pumpkin patch yesterday and it was great. We met our friends the Reeves there and just had a fabulous time walking around, taking pictures, and talking. Ezekiel loves his costume and was the talk of the patch. It was so fun to hear him call himself a "kunk". So many people commented about our little stinker! We were so proud.

Life As A 2 Year Old

Since turning two, Ezekiel has done some great things. First, he has his first bicycle!!! Thanks to Grandpa and Grandma Case he is riding in style. He loves his choo, choo bike and helmet. Notice him blowing out his birthday candles while wearing the helmet:)

We also have visited Disneyland. He LOVES the tiki room and I wish I had video of him singing and dancing, but it is just too dark. He claps his hands, shakes his body, and sing "tiki, tiki, tiki" and "wheet, wheet, wheet" (it should be tweet). He also loved holding hands with Kate- a friend from church. What a fun day we had at the happiest place on earth.

He has also enjoyed some great times with Daddy. If I haven't mentioned- HE LOVES HIS DADDY! Here they are playing video games.

Finally, Ezekiel no longer enjoys sitting on our lap while reading his books. He now wants to sit next to us:( My little boy is growing up!

New Cousin

Ezekiel and I took a week to visit the new addition to our family- AVERY JANE WATERS! She came to our family on October 5 and we got to see her just 3 days later. We spent some great time with her and Ezekiel did very well around the baby:)

The APPLE of My Eye

Today we visited Riley Apple Farm for a fantastic day of apple picking. We met our friend's the Halls and spent the morning on the farm. It was great. Ezekiel LOVED being outside, running through the trees, picking the apples, picking up sticks, and just being a boy. We ended our morning with a picnic lunch and despite the cold weather the day was fabulous. We will definitely being repeating this outing.

Happy HAPPY Birthday!

Happy 2nd Birthday Ezekiel!!!!

Today was Ezekiel's second birthday and it was a gre
at day! The house was decorated and Ezekiel was in a good mood for most of the day. We started the morning sing Ezekiel "happy birthday", blowing out candles on his blue berry muffin, and watching buggies on t.v.

Later in the morning, we head to Disneyland as
a family. It was great to have Daddy spending the morning with us. We of course, visited the Tiki Room (One of Ezekiels' favorites), Winnie the Pooh, and the petting zoo. It was a great day at the park, even with the crowds. Ezekiel also spent some time watching Splash Mountain and imitating the people as they come down- putting his hands above his head. It was a fabulous day.Check out Ezekiel's and the cow's tongue!

The rest of the day was spent just the two of us (Ezekiel and Mommy). We went to the pool, ate some dinner, and Ezekiel took a shower, by himse
lf. I was supervising, but he now stands by himself under the water and gets all the soap off. Wow- he is growing up fast.

Ezekiel got lots of well wishes from people who love him too. Here he is talking on the phone:)

I can't begin to express how much Ezekiel means to us and how much we love him. We could have never imagined how much joy, love, laughter, and pure delight he has brought us. I cannot wait to see all the ways he will grow and change in the next year, but I cherish every new thing he has done and all the amazing things he is learning. Everyday it seems that a new word comes out of his mouth and he never ceases to impress me with how much he knows and understands.

Ezekiel- We love you and are so blessed to have you as our son!!!!!
