Eli's First Angel Game

Last night we all headed to the Angel Game before the boys went on their own mini vacation with Papa and Mimi. It was Eli's first game and it was pretty successful considering it started at the boy's bedtime.

Ezekiel loved watching the game and did rather well. He only bumped into the person in front of us a handful of times.

Eli spent most of the time eating. He is checking out the popcorn.

He also learned how to climb in and out of the chair by himself.
Every time the crowd would cheer Eli would turn, face the field and start clapping.

I loved Eli's many faces at the game.

Just 5 Minutes

and Eli fell asleep. I suppose he must have been tired! When I left the room he was eating and enjoying lunch, but when I came back less than 5 minutes later this is what I found...
I even washed his hands and face, took off his shoes and bib, and put him to bed with out him waking up!

OC Fair Friday

Grandpa asked our family to go to the O.C. Fair with him and we couldn't pass up the opportunity. It was a great afternoon.

Strolling through the crowds.

Enjoying some foods while checking out the sights.

Ezekiel covered the ride/game side.

throwing darts

bumper cars- or smash cars as Ezekiel likes to call them (his favorite)

flying cars
train ride- even Eli & Daddy got to enjoy this one!

Eli covered the food side.

We had a blast checking out all the different animals
and even got to see the pigs judged.
We had no idea what was going on, but it was fun to watch some of the kids frantically chasing after their pigs, while some wouldn't budge an inch, and still others were perfectly behaved. Reminded me a lot of the different stages we see in one day with our boys:)

Beating the Heat

We decided to beat the heat by filling Ezekiel's sand box, that remains to be filled with sand after he emptied it through out our back yard, into our house, and many other place that I have learned that sand can get tracked into, with water. It was fun for Ezekiel to freely splash with out being told to stop making a mess.
He also decided to add the soapy water mommy used to wash the windows to his water for a little added fun. It was a fun time and a great way to stay cool during the warm weather.

Eli's Favorite Book

Eli is loving Hand, Hand, Fingers, Thumb by Dr. Suess. He will take every book off the shelf until he finds it and then proceed to the reading chair. It is too cute!

The search.

The drop of less than books.

The find.

The chair and expected reading!

My Fish...

I am so proud of the progress the boys have made in the pool this year! Even Eli thinks he is capable of swimming on his own!

Celebrating Freedom

We spent this holiday weekend doing the usual- food, friends, family, fun, and of course fireworks!

Our family.

Enjoying a picnic.

Time to play.

Strong man Eli hanging by himself.

Of course, the fourth of July wouldn't be complete with out baseball and popsicles!

Ezekiel's first ever sparkler. See the trepidation.
Now see the love!

Eli also loved sparklers and couldn't get enough.
More sparkler fun.
