Visiting Friends

We all headed out to Palm Springs to visit some family friends that were vacationing. It was so great to see the Knepper family. We spent some time talking, playing, and going to the park. It was great to see some of our friends from Africa too....Moses who we met six years prior in Tanzania...and Sylvester who drove us from and to the airport in Dar Salem.

Presents As Big As Them

Our family is incredibly blessed to have some amazing friends. The Cianci's (aka Shamadalama and Ms. Beryl) are some of those GREAT friends. We were able to share a little holiday meal with them and exchange gifts.

The gave the boys an AMAZING gift that was bigger then them.

While the pictures don't show their tremendous excitement, they were extremely happy and excited for their new train table.

It has been blessed and will continued to be enjoyed with hours of endless play.

Bobsled Team 2018

The boys are hoping to make the Olympic bobsled team. They are practicing already. Ezekiel is the power that gets them going...

We decided to take a new approach to looking at lights this year and got on a boat to go around Huntington Harbor.

It was a ton of fun for the kiddos to be in a boat and seeing all the lights. Ezekiel and Eli had a blast.

Titus got a little grumpy in the end and we attribute it to motion sickness. He was being quite difficult as one can see.

He was perfectly fine once we got on land.

Warmth for the Head

The boys were able to enjoy some bike riding with Papa and Meme. Eli and Titus rode in style behind Papa's bike while Ezekiel was on his own. The boys really enjoyed the riding time.

The occasional rains we have experienced have created quite a few puddles that kids love to play in. Even in their rain boots, the still end up with soaking wet socks and clothes.

Titus has officially started to walk. I say this because he now stands in the middle of the room and attempts to walk to different places. Last Saturday it all started with him taking about 8 steps and now he is off and walking. We are so excited for this next phase. So let the chasing begin!

Halloween was filled with our normal traditions. We stopped by Grandpa and Grandma Case's house to do our first trick or treating. The boys also got to play a little in the backyard.

Next we headed home to enjoy chili, friends, and trick or treating.

We even saw Bailey as we went around the neighborhood.

The kiddos also enjoyed bobbing for apples and some of their candy after trick or treating.

We had our traditional birthday breakfast at Hot Off the Grill to celebrate Titus and Ezekiel.

Ezekiel also got some more gifts and another cake.

FIVE...FIVE...FIVE

An entire hand....that is what Ezekiel now needs to show his age! He is sooooooo happy to be five and lets share a few reasons why.

*He got to wear his birthday hat and blow out a candle in his pancakes.

He also got a stack of cookies and 2 different cakes (all on different days).

*He now can enjoy gum! He has been anticipating this moment for a while and now he can enjoy chewing gum. He got his own little gum dispenser at Titus birthday and has already had his fair share of the tasty treats. It took a little practice on the chewing and not swallowing part, but he has it down.

*He also got to go into a new classroom at church. This was a big deal to him due to the fact that most of his friends had already promoted up to that classroom.

*He is also understanding birthdays more and that it entails gifts. He was quite happy that he got to open his own presents and enjoy all the treats especially for him.

*He got to pick a place to eat for lunch. He made us proud when he chose.......

Costco! What a sensible, practical boy. He just wanted to make sure he could get ice cream there when he made his selection.

*He got to pop five balloons with a dollar inside each one!

Ezekiel is a fantastic young boy. Did you read that...boy...he no longer has that toddler chub and when you look at him- you see boy. Ezekiel is currently 42 inches tall and weighs 44 pounds. He loves to ride his bike, dig, work, help Papa fix things, break things (perhaps one day the fixing and breaking will go together), play/build with legos, LOVES to shoot (everything is a gun right now), and to lead in whatever he is doing. When you ask him what he want to be when he gets bigger he will say a policeman and fireman. He is into obeying the rules and making sure others are doing what he wants them to. His favorite thing to watch is Charlie Brown and Looney Tunes. His favorite food is ice cream because it is cold on his teeth and he likes apple pie. When asked his name he says "Ezekiel Ryan Case". His favorite color is blue. His best friend is Bailey (and a close 2nd is Jordan...pretty much a tie). His favorite animal is a lizard because he likes to catch them. His favorite movie is Lightening McQueen (Cars). His favorite book is What makes him happy? "Mommy kissing me." What makes him sad? "When Mommy doesn't let him have what he wants." His favorite song to sing is the B-I-B-L-E. He likes to play puzzles. He is growing into quite a young boy. We love him so much that all the kiss, tickle time, wrestling, and hugs couldn't express it. We look forward to all the ways God will use him.

1 Whole Year Titus

Titus turned one! We can't believe how fast the year has gone by! It seems like we don't get to spend enough time just taking in your amazing milestones as the time seems to fly by. So here are some things that are precious...

You are mommy's cling-on. A true mommy's boy. You love for mommy to hold you and constantly like to be carried.

You hum yourself to sleep. It is your soothing noise that you learned from Meme. Every time we put you in your car seat you start to hum.

You are sensitive. You easily read the emotions of those around you and are quick to share their feelings.

You throw lots of things. You will throw toys, balls, clothes that you have unfolded, pretty much anything you can get your hands on. You also will throw your head back in laughter. Its is the most precious thing to see you giggling and putting you head back because it is too funny.

You also throw a mean fit. You know what you want are not happy until you get it! You have hit your head many a times in your attempt to throw yourself on the floor.

You crawl like a bear at times. While you are still crawling, you are testing out your feet. You are cruising while behind objects that move, yet you are still unmotivated to walk on your own.

You catch onto to things quickly. You can mimic your brothers and do many things that they do. You are loved and love your brothers. You will wrestle with them, let them sit on you, and play cars with them. You love to take apart what they build or put together.

You love to climb. You can climb up on chairs, onto the motorcycle, onto the trampoline, and many other places.

Your favorite mode of communication is the grunt. You point, grunt, and get it. Perhaps we should work on your signs and words...so far here is what you have said.

You have completed our family. You bring us many smiles and your sweetness is contagious. I look forward to see how you make your presence known in our family and how you let your brothers know you are not to be taken lightly. You have a strong will about you that I pray will be a blessing to the Lord and will glorify Him. You have such a sensitivity that is enduring and learn so quickly. Bailey Blessing

Our new home has provided us with blessing after blessing, but one that brings a huge smile to all of our faces is

BAILEY!!!

Bailey is the boy's new friend. She is the same age as Ezekiel and plays with the boys ALL THE TIME!

They spend hours together digging, playing games, going from house to house, looking for bugs, chatting, and just enjoying friendship. The boys shout Bailey's name as soon as they see her and are quick to run so they can be together. What a great blessing we had no idea we needed.

We celebrated our littlest guy's first year with family and friends. It was a SWEET party!

Titus licking a lollipop...or at least keeping it in his mouth, fully drooling until it was gone.

We were surrounded with good food and fantastic friends.

Titus was a little unsure about all the singing, but he thoroughly enjoyed eating his cake. He ate a LOT of it.

We also sang to Ezekiel and gave him his own cake seems how his birthday was to be celebrated soon as well.

We celebrated Logan & Ellanie's Birthday. They had a Dr. Suess birthday that was full of fun decoration, silly hats, yummy ice cream, and tons of fun!

Annual Apple Picking

This years apple picking adventure was a little different. The apples weren't ready so we got to pick pears and raspberries instead.

It was a beautiful day, but quite warm as evident by the rosy, red checks.

We met two other families, the Halls and LeMonniers, for our adventure. The kids had a GREAT time with their friends.

We had a picnic lunch and let the children run a little before heading back home. There was a hill that the kids loved running down. Ezekiel lost his legs on the first run down and completely flipped head over feet. After a few tears he was back running again.

3 Generation Camping Trip

Grandpa has been looking forward to this adventure for a LONG time and it finally came. All three boys headed off to Big Pine to camp and fish. The boys had a great time and Ezekiel even caught the largest fish.

And of course, while camping, you eat fish for breakfast.

They also did some hiking. Ezekiel hiked a total of 6 miles one day and then 4 the next.

What a fun time and great memories.

Family Campout

Its the middle of August so that means it was time for the Benning Campout. It was a fun time, but sickness did have its way through our family making our time a little tough. For instance, one night Titus cried the ENTIRE night. Not just a little sweet whimper, but a gut wrenching scream that the entire campground heard ALL NIGHT. I even had a stranger ask if that was my baby last night :( Poor little guy was sick and cutting 3 teeth at once. I guess that does account for the crankiness.

He did show a little of his sweet personality during the day.

The boys had a great time riding bikes, playing, and getting super dirty.

We also made a visit to the beach.

And finally we found the amazing lollipop tree. What a fun tradition that I remember loving as a kid. It is so neat to see my boys participating in something that I have such fond memories of.

Beach Week

The boys and Mommy had the privilege of spending a week with Papa, Meme, Avery and the Smith family at Seacliff State Beach. It was such a great week right on the shore. Of course every day was pretty much the same...wake up and go play in the sand, eat, take a nap, wake up and go play in the sand, eat, go to bed, and wake up to do it all again.

Ezekiel LOVED digging for sand crabs!

Eli and Avery thoroughly enjoyed playing in holes that were dug for them.

We played bocce ball.

Eli and Avery played their own version of bocce ball= put as many of the balls on the small white one as you can.

At ten months Titus is starting to do some pretty cool stuff. He is now standing up and letting go to stand by himself for a few seconds before plopping down to the ground.

He is also finding his groove. It is too cute to watch him dance (flap his arms) when he hears music.

He is also quick to join in with any applause he hears.

Such a delight in our lives. A good little boy full of smiles, shy grins at strangers that think he is sooo handsome, and lots of jibber jabber as he finds his voice. A voice that is quite high when he wants to be known.

Family Camp

We had a great time at Lake Casitas with 10 other families from church. It was such a great 3 days. The boys loved playing with their friends (25 kids in all), eating together, and generally enjoying the 24 hour company.

We started our 4th of July weekend with our church's picnic. It was a fun time of food, friends, and fun.

9 months of Titus

Titus is officially nine months. How quickly this time has gone...so nine quick facts for you....

1. you are 20 lbs 9 oz and have the most adorable rolls, tummy, thighs, buns, and checks. mommy loves to kiss them, squeeze them, and just overall eat you up. mommy's favorite spot to kiss you is right on the neck between all your lovely squishiness. you also love the kiss and react with the most precious giggles.

2. you are 29 inches long

3. you make the most precious noises. mommy's favorite is the inhaling gasp as you laugh. you also have followed in Ezekiel's foot steps in the way of self soothing as you fall to sleep- you make the same groaning "uuuuuhhhh" sound. it must be the way that it vibrates your chest that you find soothing.

4. you are a smacker...you always smack your lips and mouth really LOUD after eating or drinking. it is ADORABLE

5. you have amazing brothers that love you to pieces. you especially enjoy your nap times with Eli and will even talk and play with him. i have caught you keeping him up by standing at the end of your crib smiling, talking and laughing with and at him.

6. you put EVERYTHING into your mouth. you have almost eaten quite a few legos and actually enjoyed a few leaves here and there. mommy is constantly pulling things out of your mouth that you have rummaged off the ground. you have also enjoyed putting sand in your mouth while at the beach- yummy.

7. you no longer enjoy baby food, but you only want to eat what everyone else is having. you really like breads, bananas, and grapes. you have no problem letting us know when you are hungry- you just grunt really loud and won't stop until the food is in your possession.

8. you are a warm water kid. you do enjoy the water, but it must be warm or you want nothing to do with it. while swimming you love to splash and lay on you back.

9. i can't name a certain toy or thing that you love to play with except your brothers. whether they are sitting on you, talking with you or just playing around them, you want to be with them and in the mix. you do love to bang on toys with your hands or with another toy...perhaps the drums are in your future.

Titus you are such a delightful little boy. Everywhere you go people tell us how sweet you are and what a good baby you are. You are truly happy. Constantly smiling, giggling, and enjoying life. You have brought so much love and happiness to our family. We can't wait for the next 90 years (at least) of life that we get to share with you.

We have made it back to the pool.

Ezekiel is swimming fabulously. He is completely water safe. He jumps off the wall, swims down to get things off the bottom, and is an overall fish.

Eli still thinks he can swim and he is getting really close. He hold his breath for a very long time and does quite well.

Titus also enjoys the water, but it must be warm. He didn't enjoy the cooler days so much and did a lot of whining. On the warm days, however, he LOVED the water.

10 Years for Daddy & Mommy

The family celebrated Daddy and Mommy's anniversary together. For fun, we ate dinner at the place where they had their first date...Little Pickle, in Costa Mesa, California.

Daddy's picture is still on the wall from his baseball days at OCC.

The whole family enjoyed the turkey sandwich...it is what we always get.

Our weekly beach days have begun. The boys love the day.

Ezekiel spends the entire day at the waters edge either splashing or digging. His new love is to stand on the boogie board.

Eli likes to spend his time digging in the dry sand and is not very fond of the chilly water. He loves to use truck, shovels, and buckets.

Titus is a big fan of sand much to mommy's sadness. He loves to pick it up, let it run through his fingers, sit in it, and eat it- yummy!

The boys (and mommy) gave Daddy a sign for Father's day...

the boys helped screw the boards together and paint it.

In order to show Daddy how much we love him, we went as a family to breakfast at Hot Off the Grill- he LOVES to have breakfast there.

We also had a yearly tradition of heading to BJs Brewery with the Cianci's.

We finally came home for a movie and popcorn night. What a great Daddy the boys have!

Titus made a slight- meaning one crawl- forward motion today. He is getting easily up into the crawling position, but all his movement is backwards. It is quite upsetting to him at some points. For instance, when he got himself stuck between the couch and the chair.

He has also become the master of getting himself into a sitting position! Way to go little man.

Baseball Party

We celebrated the end of the baseball season with a pizza party. Ezekiel had a great time playing with his teammates.

Each player also received a trophy and the part of the banner with his name.

Brotherly love= i really want your trophy.

We had a great season and can't wait to play again. Here is the Angel team.

New Toys

With the new house came a new toy...

Moving Day

Moving day came and we left our first family home...

The boys LOVED the U-haul. They ran their trucks up and down the ramp.

The boys also helped here and there.

Titus enjoyed the outdoors.

End of Baseball

June brought the end of Ezekiel's baseball season.

He had some great hits...mostly straight to the outfield. His last at bat was GREAT...line drive to outfield!

He has his own little ritual before hitting...

hitting home plate with the bat.

Ezekiel finally got to be the home run hitter too. He got to hit last and then run the entire bases at once.

He hasn't quite mastered the correct slide, but he does enjoy sliding so much that he still slides into everybase...including 1st.

He LOVES his batting gloves and won't listen to the fact that you don't wear them while fielding.

We are so proud of our little ball player.

Leave it to Papa

Look how he LOVED it. He is sold on ice cream.

A few days after this was taken Titus enjoyed a soft serve cone too. He would lean forward, grunt until it was put to his mouth, and eat.

How much can change in 8 months. Titus is really sitting up well, clapping, getting up on his knees, rolling like a stone, eating great, and getting super chubby. We just love this little tender guy. He is SUCH a good baby. He rarely cries and when he does it is usually over the fact that he has been left alone in a room. Kung Fu

We all enjoyed an afternoon at the movies as a family today. We saw Kung Fu Panda 2. The boys did really well even though the movie was a little scary for them. Ezekiel declared that he did like the first one better. Titus did okay for his first big screen movie, but half way through he had had enough so Papa took him out. Titus REALLY wanted popcorn and a drink and he had to be held really tight otherwise he would work his way close enough so that he could grab himself either some popcorn or a straw.

Don't worry...none of the popcorn made it into Titus' mouth!

Titus' First Angel Game

Thanks to Daddy's friend we got to go see an Angel game. It was a fun family night.

The boys enjoyed all the sugar their tummies could take.

Titus stayed awake the whole time and really enjoyed himself.

We love our baseball!

Popping Up!

Titus has his first tooth popping through! You can't see it, but it CAN be felt. The little guy has been working really hard on that tooth, chewing and chewing and chewing. Finally his hard work has payed off.

On the Move

Titus has become an avid roller. He is not content to just sit and play with the toys he has been given, but now he wants what he wants. He will reach and reach...lift up on to his knees while reaching and if that doesn't get him there...he proceeds to his belly and either turns or rolls to his desired destination. He is not the best navigator and can't get to the exact place he intends to go, but he is on the MOVE! Mommy is trying her best to slow this down, but my attempts are failing.

Ezekiel received the game ball today. He had some great at bats and one hit almost took out Coach Matt.

Daddy's Day

We had a grand day celebrating Daddy.

Solar Airplanes
