Daddy's Boy

Lately Ezekiel has a definite desire to spend time with his Daddy. When he has the choice- He chooses DADDY. It doesn't matter if it is playing, eating, bathing, or even changing the diaper he wants Daddy. Today was no different. When Josh came home from work Ezekiel was ecstatic to have his play partner home. They played Legos, read some books, wrestled, and even watched some "buggies" (Ezekiel's word for the movie A Bug's Life). What a blessing to see father and son sharing so much love!

Catching Up

I realized after my last post how long it has been since I actually let you all know what is going on with Ezekiel. Well we have been busy the last few weeks. Mostly Mommy has been busy, but he has tagged along.

Besides the normal preparation for the fall (Moms Group starting, C
hurch activities) we went on a trip up north to Uncle Chip & Auntie Tiffany's house. We got to see Mimi (now what Ezekiel calls my mom) and Papa. We were there to attend Baby Waters' Babyshower and this meant Ezekiel got a whole bunch of one on one time with Papa. He was delighted. The spent lots of time doing all sorts of things- cleaning, playing, changing oil, and just boy stuff. We had a great trip and since then Ezekiel asks at least once a day about Papa and Mimi.

Everyone also learned how much Ezekiel loves to repeat the things he hears. There were a few funny moments of repeated words that slipped out. He also can do what he sees others doing. Here is Ezekiel trying to copy:)
We all had a great laugh when he tried to do what we were doing:)Ezekiel helping change the oil.

27 Books

Today Ezekiel and I pulled out from behind his bed....
27 BOOKS
He now likes to take the books we give him to read and put them between the slats in his bed to watch and listen to them fall to the floor.

Here he is with his pile of books-crazy kid:)

Seriously Mom!

Look how I found Ezekiel today after a bit of shopping:)

I tried to upload the video, but this still shot will have to do. You just have to imagine his head falling down to his tray and then him slowly raising it only to have it fall again. It was too funny- poor thing was SOOOOOOO tired!

Ezekiel's Way of Eating and Napping

Ezekiel has found that food is much more enjoyable when one's fingers can be full involved in the process. He has turned his own fingers into skewers:)
Ezekiel also decided to take a nap with ALL his stuffed animals. Notice the face when he awoke. I don't think he liked the idea so much after all the napping was done!
