New Skate Shoes

Ezekiel got some new kicks- skate shoes. Since he now has skate shoes it brought us back into riding the skateboard. Ezekiel is good now. He wants to ride all the time and has also been trying to do tricks. He tries jumping while riding and Daddy showed him how to drop in off the step. I guess Daddy wants to take a trip to the doctor because after showing him how to drop off the step into the garage that is all Ezekiel wanted to do- even on his bike. We have a little dare devil on our hands!

Bike Riding Man

Ezekiel can now ride his bike! This has been something in the making for a long time and he can finally do it! He loves riding by our garage and is fully embracing the activities that require a helmet!

This is how most of his concentrated riding takes place- tongue out!

Pool Time

We had the priviledge of attending a pool party this weekend. It was tons of fun for the boys. Ezekiel spent most of the party in the pool going under water and holding his breath. Eli had Daddy making his way all around the pool. Eli also loves going under water. It was a ton of fun and the balls just added to the boys' pleasure.

Imagination

Ezekiel is really starting to use his imagination. This was him changing the oil and replacing the tires on his dump truck.

Safety First

We are all about safety. Ezekiel is into riding his skateboard lately so that means he must wear his helmet. We are also into the copy cat stage too, so that means Eli wants to wear his helmet. It is too cute watching the boys ride their skateboards, walk around, and just about do everything in their helmets.

Marksman

Ezekiel had the joy of watching the big boys shoot some guns and he also got some practice with a pellet gun. He actually did really well.
If you look close you can see that the clay pigeon is broken!

I Do

We attended Aaron and Stephanie's wedding and it was beautiful.

What Daddy did for the wedding.

We had such a good time hanging out with the entire family.

I love this expression Eli has. He seems to do this often.

Proof I was there!

God Honoring Heritage

Grandpa and Grandma Great LOVE the Lord. It is evident in the way they talk, the things they do, the way they live, the way they serve, the way they love, and the way they raised their family. The have six children that are amazing men and women of God. Aunt Helen gives like no one I know and will be there to help you in seconds flat, she is always giving to someone and has a heart that just cares. Uncle Willard dedicated his life to God's work in Papua New Guinea serving full time as a missionary. Uncle Dennis loves God's people and jumps at any chance to help people and the church. My Dad- purely amazing- loves people through all he does for them, always wants to help and constantly puts the needs of others before himself. Uncle Phillip has such a tender heart and loves the Lord, he serves his church and family with such a great work ethic. Aunt Phoebe uses her life to serve God, she volunteers in any way she can, offers whatever she has and any ability she posses to give back to God. This is just a little glimpse of the offspring that has come from Verland and Lucille Benning. They are AMAZING. They have 21 grandchildren. And currently they have 31 great grandchildren, plus 3 on the way. They have been married for 64 years. When asked what advice they had my grandfather simply stated the best advice I have heard:

"Put the LORD first and He will take care of the rest!"

What an amazing heritage. We are blessed to be part of their legacy and what an amazing legacy they are leaving.

These are 18 of the great grandchildren with Grandpa and Grandma Great.

Cousins

Ezekiel, Avery and Eli had some great quality time together at Papa and Mimi's house. The enjoyed riding the quad
feeding the ducks
riding in the wagon (all of them did ride together- sorry no picture of that)
and just hanging out (tackling Auntie Nicole/Mommy). Right after this picture Avery went head first into the table getting a nice little black eye!

Work

Ezekiel LOVES to work. Right now it is all about working. He wants to be digging, cleaning, sweeping, cutting wood, stacking wood, etc. He never tires of it and there is just not enough to be done. He loved the time he got to spend with Papa- digging ditches, welding, measuring, picking cherries, cleaning the yard.

Ezekiel digging in the ditch. Can you see his head?

Enjoying some refreshment after some hard labor.

Helping measure.

Using the chain saw (at least holding it).
