Moments with Meme

This is how Eli has spent a lot of his time... hanging with Meme.

Dirt

Ezekiel is having a grand time at Papa and Meme's house. If you ask him what he is doing or going to do he will inform you that there is digging he needs to do and that is exactly what he did. He spent the first few days outside, where it was 40 something degrees and raining, with Papa digging and using his shovel. He is having a blast and loving all the work he gets to do.

Step by Step

Eli is officially walking! It started on Wednesday, April 21 when he took 3 steps on his own holding a frying pan. Here is a quick video of his few steps. Sorry it is a back view, but if you are in front of him he goes straight to the floor to quickly crawl to you.

April Showers with a Side of Snow

The boys and I made our way up to Tuolumne for a visit with Papa and Meme. It was rather interesting weather for April. Here are a few pictures of the weather we were blessed to share in.

This is how Eli enjoyed the weather.

He Has Risen (In the Den)

Today we celebrated Easter. Ezekiel and I were focusing on why we celebrate Easter and I thought it was important for him to know how to respond when someone says "He has risen"so I told him to say "He has risen indeed", but Ezekiel would say it as "He has risen in the den". So cute!

We had a fabulous morning at church and then hung out with family for the rest of the day. Here are some pictures of our day.

Dying Eggs

Tonight we dyed our Easter eggs. It was a perfect night so we had the boys sit outside at their table and dye away. Eli didn't quite understand that you weren't suppose to eat the eggs until later, but he must have liked that vinegar flavor. Ezekiel was a pro. He dyed quickly and with efficiency. As soon as they had enough color he was on to the next one. It was a great time.

Notice the yellow lips.

The submission hold.

The finished product.

Eli finally destroyed an egg!

We also went to Easter in the Park. They had a fire truck, police car, and ambulance that the kids could go inside of and take their picture. It was really neat, but Ezekiel, in pure Ezekiel fashion, did not want to visit those cars... he wanted his picture next to the work truck. YES, that's right, the flat bed truck with the shovels, rakes, and even the coffee mug on the back. What a boy. Not persuaded by the popular thing he sticks to what he likes- old fashion hard work! He also went fishing. He is so much like his Papa:)

Eli got his grove on!
