Can't Help but LAUGH

So just yesterday we had one of those moments that I found to be extremely funny- Josh- not so much. As Josh and I sat discussing an upcoming event Ezekiel wanted to be part too. So we put him on our bed right behind Josh with a tub of Cheerios he had been eating out. We THOUGHT he would continue snacking and enjoy hanging out. We were wrong. After a little bit I looked over at my boys and noticed the tub in Ezekiel's hands UPSIDE DOWN! Yes he had dumped the entire tub out on OUR BED! I found it very amusing and couldn't help but laugh:) Here he is with ALL his Cheerios!

Blessed Birthday

Today I celebrated my birthday and truly enjoyed my day. My day started off especially good when I started my car and found that the tank was FULL. What a wonderful husband I have:)

Ezekiel and I spent the morning and mid-day at Disneyland. There is just pure pleasure in taking your child to a place where they have fun, smile, and just delight in. First we went on the Monsters Inc ride where Ezekiel sat like a big boy next to his friend Jack. Who he has gotten so BIG!

Then we traveled from California Adventure into Disneyland where we visited the animals. Can you believe Disneyland has a petting zoo- they have everything:) Ezekiel would go around petting each goat once. It was so fun to see him travel from goat to goat gentle giving his one pet.

Next we hit the carousel which turned out to be a hit. The inside might have been the key to Ezekiel's enjoyment.
We had a GREAT time. Then we came home to Daddy- there is just something great about that. After an evening of hanging out, going on a walk, and just enjoying the boys in my I was reminded of how blessed I am. I also received a card from my parents and inside was a special treat from my dad- HOT DOG GUM!!!!! What special memories I will always treasure and hopefully one day I can share the gum with Ezekiel and he will also see the treasure that it is!!!

Cute Moments

In the last couple of days Ezekiel has had some cute moments. These are times where we find Ezekiel in some sort of situation that we find to be adorable. While there is no event behind the moment, I felt the pictures were worth sharing.

Ezekiel has taken a liking to balloons. He actually was launched off our bed by one the other morning. This picture was taken prior to that.

He still loves to lay on them and throw them around:)

Ezekiel also discovered that Tums make excellent face paint.

This is how we found him after driving to the store. Isn't it lovely artwork. We just had to capture the moment.

Why use a little spoon when you can use a BIG spoon?
Isn't my hat cute! Thanks Grandpa and Grandma!

Computer Savy

It is just around the corner and Ezekiel will be posting his own blogs. Look at him! Already using the computer! It always amazes me how young children can catch on to things so quickly. He also gets up on the chair himself. They grow up TOO FAST!

Wet & Wild Friday

The weather around here has been wet, cold, dreary, and just the type that make you want to stay in-side, but we had something different in mind so.......
WE WENT TO DISNEYLAND!!!!

Yes, it rained on us, there were still A LOT of people, and it was GREAT!

We enjoyed just walking around see all the plastic and umbrellas out. We also were the worst parents ever:) We took Ezekiel on Pirates of the Caribbean (he didn't mind the dark and actually enjoyed pointing at all the animals). Next we hit Winnie the Pooh. He LOVED it. And finally to round off the parent of the year award, we went on Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. Both Josh and myself forgot that the ending of the ride leaves a lot to be desired seems how it takes you through hell:( BOOOOOO

It was a great way to spend an hour and a half not to mention get us out of the house!

Magical Weekend

Our family had a weekend full of magical events. The first was Josh performing a wedding. While this event would take place on Saturday, the family enjoyed a rehearsal on Friday night that ended at the beach. We had a fabulous time playing in the sand and finding what only Ezekiel would deem treasures:) This was Ezekiel's first trip as a walking boy to the beach. It was also great that he didn't see the sand as a crunchy treat to eat! YEAH!!
On Saturday the wedding took place and Josh did an amazing job. Ezekiel was a terrific boy that just sat quietly eating his yummy apples as the ceremony took place. He was perfect:)Ezekiel was watching Daddy- You can see him in the background:)

Finally our weekend actually went an extra day when Josh got Monday off. Seizing this opportunity we headed to Disneyland. While this seemed like a great opportunity to spend lots of time at the magical kingdom we soon we disheartened by the weather and the crowds. You wouldn't believe the amount of people that show up at 9:00 and in 90 degree weather. It wasn't bad as we ventured first into California Adventure and headed straight to a Bug's Life Land. This was great for Ezekiel. He loved the rides and even ventured into the water shooting area.

This is Ezekiel checking out the water spout.

Here is him after the water landed on his head:)

It was a fabulous weekend that can be described as nothing short of magic!

Costco Fun

I am always amazed at the entertainment Ezekiel finds in the simplest of things. The other day after a trip to Costco Ezekiel found hours of entertainment in the empty boxes and diaper box. He decided that the diaper box proved the perfect climbing apparatus and the empty boxes were perfect for kicking. I love these moments and find myself wondering why I don't find such enjoyment in the little things all the time!

Double Fun Day

So Mother's Day and Josh's Birthday landed on the same day this year! While for Josh this wasn't too exciting, we had a fabulous day. The morning was spent at church, but the afternoon was spent with family. We had a great time flying kites, playing at the playground, and enjoying yummy food:) It is so fun to play with Ezekiel and I am truly blessed to be his mother!

Earlier in the week we celebrated Josh's birthday. A day just to him:) It was so neat to see how he shared his toys with Ezekiel. I just had to included this picture of my two boys playing with the Spider
man toy! Ezekiel slides down the slide on his own, but I just wanted to go together:)

Disneyland Birthday!

Daddy decided it was time to visit the magic kingdom again and asked for Disneyland passes for his birthday instead of a party. Being the compliant family we are, we went along with the idea and it was great. We visited the happiest place on earth on Friday with some of our friends.

Ezekiel had a great time checking out the people, the sights, and even Disneyland's street. He decided to lay on the street:)

He also experienced some rides. His favorite of the day was Dumbo! We tried the carousel and Pinocchio, but these rides didn't bring the excitement that Dumbo did. There is just something enjoyable about flying elephants:) We had a great time and can't wait to go back. Thanks for inspiring the passes Daddy- a whole year of fun ahead of us:)

Snail Destroyer

Today's walk turned into the snail's worst nightmare. Ezekiel decided to be the executioner for a truck load of snails that live around our house and in the complex. He loves to pull them out of their home and place them on the sidewalk. Finally in one swift move- he crushes the snail beneath his shoe.Notice the number of smashed snails around his foot!!! Ezekiel loves to see the snail smashed and will sometimes come back to one he has already stepped on to make sure the snail is as flat as possible. Needless to say- the bottom of his shoes are DISGUSTING and the best part is he loves to step on others feet. Talk about GROSS when he steps on a bunch of snails and then on the top of your sandal wearing feet! AHHHHHH!!!

Zoorific Couple of Days

The last few days have been packed with fun adventures. Monday, the first day of our many adventures, was a day spent at a friend's pool. While there are no pictures it was the first of many water days for the summer. Ezekiel was afraid of the water, so he will spending more time at the pool this summer.

Wednesday we spent th
e morning at the zoo. It is so neat to see Ezekiel take interest in the animals. Even though Ezekiel calls everything dog he loved the animals. He almost got his fingers pecked at when he stuck his fingers in the pen and loved seeing the ducks. Overall it was a great day with friends and God's creation.

Thursday we had a picnic lunch with our friends Rachel and Kensington. It was a great day at the park relaxing and enjoying lunch. Ezekiel enjoyed the playground and even gave Kensington a high five and some funk (knuckles). We have had a great week!! I even got a picture of Ezekiel and me:)
