Christmas Craziness

We spent this Christmas at Uncle Chip and Auntie Tiffany's house. Due to all our traveling we actually spread Christmas over about 5 days. It made Christmas last a long time, but for the impatient men (Daddy) it put off opening presents:( We had a great Christmas Eve with family. We spent the night at Uncle Gary and Aunt Marcy's house and enjoyed hanging out with all the cousins. We played games, watched movies, and ate a ton!

Christmas Day was spent at Chip and Tiff's house relaxing, opening stockings, and taking an afternoon walk.Ezekiel also had coffee- with nothing in it- and loved it. Now he asks for it all the time- Thanks Papa.

Finally, the BIG day came on Saturday when we spent the afternoon at the Benning Christmas get together and opened presents that night. It was such a great time with family as you can see in the pictures!

Grandpa & Grandma Great's House!

Here are a couple pictures of our time inside Grandpa and Grandma Great's house. We loved having our Sunday night popcorn with the family! Ezekiel found a new way to sit in a chair.

You can always count on Grandpa Great for a toothpick!

Let It Snow!

We are currently on vacation at Meme and Papa's house! We have such a great time, but so far our favorite thing has been to visit Grandpa and Grandma Great in Long Barn. The first week here the had over a foot of snow fall at their house (on Christmas Eve they got 8 inches!). We have sledded- Ezekiel LOVES IT!!!, thrown snowballs, eaten snow, cuddled around Grandpa Great's fire, shared meals, and just had a lovely time. We even were able to spend our Sunday night popcorn tradition with four generations- my grandparents being the original starters. Words can't begin to explain the memories that have been made, but maybe the following pictures will give us all a glimpse of the amazing time we have had.

The Last Samurai

This week we have actually had rain and the kind that makes you stay inside.  Ezekiel has been such a great trooper being stuck inside.  He has really been using his imagination.  Here he is playing with wrapping paper pretending they are swords (or at least that is what I imagine he is thinking).
Daddy and Ezekiel also had some sword fighting time.

When Ezekiel lost his weapon he resorted to throwing the object at Daddy.  So
 resourceful:)

A FULL Couple of Days

The last two days have been Full of fun times.  On Monday, Ezekiel and I were able to watch a tractor and big truck work right in front of our garage as they repaired the asphalt.  Ezekiel LOVED watching the tractor work and would ask it to do more when it stopped.  Besides the stench, it was fun to see all the work being done.

Also, on Monday, Josh and I both realized how Ezeki
el is now speaking in FULL sentences.  For instance when asking if he liked dinner- he responded "Yes, I do."  He also said to Daddy when he got home, "Daddy I like your shirt."  Amazing how he has learned so much so quickly!

Finally today I learned Ezekiel needs no toys- just give him a laundry basket.  It is a toy that spans lots of ages and seems to provide tons of entertainment.

Check out the art work for our refrigerator- so exciting:)

Let the Festivities Begin

This weekend has been full of Christmas festivities.  The first of these festivities was visiting Disneyland with the Reeves family.  We had a grand time and loved the holiday atmosphere.  Ezekiel even got to see some reindeer.

Viewing the reindeer.

We also got a box full of presents from Noni, which Ezekiel has loved playing in.  He also has enjoyed stacking and re-stacking the gifts under the tree.

On Saturday, we went to the Huntington Beach Boat Parade.  Ezekiel was excited to see the boats and the lights.

All of us at watching the parade.

Christmas Cheer

Our home is now abounding with Christmas Cheer!  We spent Saturday night decorating for Christmas.  It was such a fantastic time as a family. This is Ezekiel before we started to hang the ornaments.
Ezekiel helped hang the ornaments & we only had one casualty!

We also put up the Nativity together.  Ezekiel loved Baby Jesus and enjoyed putting up the little figurines.
It was a great time together and we are so excited about this holiday season!  Ezekiel now enjoys giving the ornaments a kiss every so often.

Wrestle Mania

Ezekiel and Daddy really enjoy wrestle time.  Daddy loves the fact that Ezekiel now taps his elbow prior to dropping it onto Daddy.  What a great Daddy-son moment!
