We enjoyed a wonderful summer-like Sunday and took to some kite flying.
It took a lot of work to put the kite together... and a lot of effort to get it up... but we finally enjoyed watching the kite soar in the sky. We also enjoyed watching Eli and Avery soar too. P.S. The next day we lost the kite to a tree and the neighbor's roof.
We affectionately refer to Papa as Willy Wonka due to the amount of candy and sugar he loves to give the kids. Just so you know he has earned his nickname here are a few pictures of what he fed Eli in the short month he was here:
Sorbet Apple Pie Cake More Cake Even More Cake Root Beer Not Pictured: Oreos, Popcorn, and I am sure more that I didn't see! His response to me asking why he was giving it to him was always "See he likes it."
Papa also poors sweet moments into their lives like the two following pictures:
We celebrated Eli with a big 1st birthday bash. It was a great time with family, friends, and food. Here is the day in pictures...
Eli hanging with the peeps! The decor. The cake. All the kids played and had a great time. Eli didn't quite understand why everyone was singing, but he really enjoyed his cake.
You can't forget the root beer to wash it down!
Eli also enjoyed his presents and cards! Avery and Zach in the birthday spirit. Birthday breakfast on his actual birthday.
