Eli Turns 2

Eli turned 2!!!!
It was a great day celebrating our boy. We had our usual birthday breakfast at Hot Off the Grill. Eli was super hungry so he gobbled up his food.
We also had the typical 2 year old melt down when he had to sit in the high chair, but food made him forget all about his worries.
We also celebrated with family. We enjoyed playing, talking, food, laughter, cake, ice cream, and gifts.
Eli didn't really enjoy everyone looking at him and singing. He also did not understand that he was to blow out the candles, so Grandma and Uncle Chris helped him out.

I love the expressions he showed through out the gift opening time.
He really showed some expressions with the tricycle.

He got push around at first, but after everyone left to play he was pushing it on his own seems how he couldn't quite reach the pedals.

Some more of Eli's beautiful face while being showered with love through gifts.

Worst gift ever for the parents- a horn for the tricycle- fabulous for the birthday boy.

This was him a year ago enjoying a root beer-

it hasn't changed: he loves the soda.

Auntie Tiffany and Avery (Uncle Chip in the background) also joined us via skype while Eli opened his gifts from them. Yay for technology!
We had a pretty happy, tired boy after all the festivites.

Eli is so special to our family so here are some facts about this little two year old. He has a lot of words, but my favorite phrase is when he says "Zeke, no mo" at least that is how it sounds. I also love the way he say "I don't know" when you ask him where something is and when it is found you can always expect and "AH HAAAA". He LOVES his older brother and does exactly what he does. He is a shy guy, but when he is comfortable he is LOUD! He has MANY facial expressions that add so much to his personality. Some of his favorite books are Blue Train Green Train, Hand Hand Fingers Thumb, Barnyard Dance, and the truck, train, and heavy hauling books. He has such a love for Titus and calls him baby, he won't say his name. He always showers Titus with kisses and won't go to bed with out giving him a kiss. I just love this little boy. He is usually the first to wake up and comes in to lay with mommy and daddy. He really enjoys Thomas the train and will consistently choose to watch Cars and Carstoons with Mater. What a special gift we have been blessed with over the last two years. Happy Birthday Eli!
