Lazy Days

The last few days have been hot, hot, hot, so we have spent a great deal of time indoors. The indoor time has lead to Ezekiel's discovery of a few items in the house. The first item was that of the stair stepper. Ezekiel has now mastered climbing up and standing on the foot peddles. He hasn't quite learned how to use the machine, but for now it is pure excitement just to climb up and down on it. Ezekiel has also learned that if he pours out the blocks in the dump truck- He can ride on it.

Just a few ways we have passed the time on these hot days. We also spent a morning at a friend's pool. It took Ezekiel quite a while to warm up to the idea of water so we have no pictures:( Maybe later this summer we will get some cool ones. Thanks to Auntie Tiffany and Uncle Chip for the awesome swim suit- Ezekiel was definitely the cutest boy at the pool:)

Duck, Duck, Goose

Ezekiel had a grand time chasing and trying to feed the ducks this weekend. In an attempt to get rid of some old bread, the entire family went to the park and fed the ducks. Ezekiel finally got the hang of feeding the ducks in the end, but he still favored chasing them in order to try to hand them food. It was so fun to see all the ducks running from him. He also got to play on the slide where he went up and down all by himself.

He is growing so quickly and everyday I am amazed at the new things he can do. Just recently he has enjoyed hiding in our closet:) He will sit in there quietly and when you finally look in he has a big grin on his face. Soooo cute. Daddy also learned that Ezekiel can say duck though he makes a barking sound to go along with it:) His vocabulary is expanding everyday. I think my most favorite is that he will point to a nose and say nose. It is tooo precious. He also says words like snot, walk, park, and so many! Everyday he is growing into an amazing little man!

When SILENCE Prevails!

Today Ezekiel proved the fact that when there is silence in the home something isn't what it should be. As Ezekiel played outside today he found himself out of moms eyesight and into a mess! He found Daddy's barbecue ashes. By the time Ezekiel was discovered he had covered his face, head, body, and ground with the nasty soot. As you can imagine he went straight into the bath, but not with out some pictures first.

So here he is the boy that is up to something when all is silent! :)!

ALL BOY

Ezekiel decided to show how he is all boy in just one night. I thought you might enjoy the pictures of him climbing, falling, throwing, and overall just being a boy. He had lots of places he tried to climb into including the dishwasher. He also tried to fit into his dump truck and stand on top of it. He hasn't quite grasped the understanding that things on wheels aren't the best to climb on :) He also loved to dump his blocks out everywhere. Not to play with them, but just to make a large pile! Here are some pictures of my boy. Hope you enjoy seeing all the ways he loves to show his manhood :)

Tender Moments

Through out the day Ezekiel has SO MANY moments that make me smile, laugh, melt my heart, or all three at once. Here is one that I actually caught on film. Oh how I wish I could document every moment!!!

Too Much

Can't you relate? With just the right circumstances a good book can have the same affect on me! I thought this was just too cute and had to be shared. Notice the book? :)

Unique Ways

Ezekiel definintly has some unique ways of doing things. This evening was no exception. For the last week Josh and I have noticed how Ezekiel will hide food through out the house. He won't just hide it and leave it- no, He is hiding it for later consumption! Just last weekend Ezekiel looked around and thought no one was watching so he disappeared with his piece of toast. A few minutes later he was back with no toast and of course there is no way he ate it. Well, later that day the toast made it appearance in his hands and he was enjoying the hard, crusty bread. This is just a little example of the constant food hiding Ezekiel loves to do.

Tonight again I was reminded of th
e fact that he loves to eat food from the weirdest locations. After an unsuccessful dinnertime and only a little food being eaten by Ezekiel I decided to put away dinner. I discovered for Ezekiel it is the location that entices him to eat. After trying to put away the green beans Ezekiel wanted them back so I gave them to him. Silly Mommy don't you know food is always better off the floor. At least that is what Ezekiel would say. So here are some pictures of my crazy man enjoying his meal off my dirty ( I hate to admit it) kitchen floor!! No matter what I think Ezekiel will always enjoy the food he has hidden, tuck under furniture, or thrown on the floor over eating at the table like the rest of us:)

Dirty Mouth?

Today Ezekiel proved that putting soap in his mouth is not a punishment. While helping me do some dishes, or should I say throwing soap around, he decided to try eating the some of the suds. Of course, most people would find this repulsing, but Ezekiel must have enjoyed it. I say this because not only did he continue to drink the bubbly water, but later this evening he got out a small travel bottle of shampoo. It is just as you are thinking, he got it opened, spread it around the house, and decided to taste the bubbles. HE NEVER SPIT IT OUT!!!! Can you believe it. I had to coax him to put his tongue out!! We find it strange, but I guess we all have different tastes!!!
Here are a few pictures of today's events. Just to show you a little of the mess Ezekiel left in his path:) Here are some of yesterday's day at the park.

Let it Snow?

This has been a week of in home entertainment. We started the week with a feverish, cuddly boy that just wanted to lay in a lap. Finally, after the stretch of sickness was gone we face gloomy weather. So today, Ezekiel decided with the looming clouds outside we should have a little weather inside. On his very own Ezekiel created snow- and yes I knew what he was up to. Ezekiel found a small piece of packing Styrofoam and broke it into a thousand little "snow" pieces. I think the part that touched my heart was when he was done throwing the snow in the air he proceeded to get the little broom and dust pan. How precious. I am not sure where he got the ability to know to clean up after making a mess, I know neither Josh or myself are the best at it, but I am definitely grateful. So after a slow week, here is our attempt at creating weather!
